11 Egyptian Women Show Off Their Hijab Styles In Alexandria

Updated: Sep 15, 2019

There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding the idea of the hijab. One common myth is that women cannot express their individuality while wearing one. This isn't always true, especially for the 11 women who stepped in front of our camera to showcase their personal styles.

**Disclaimer: This article features women from Alexandria, Egypt. With 49 other Muslim countries around the world, this article does not represent every hijab-wearing woman.**

Egyptian women love fashion! Putting on a hijab before going out in public does not diminish this fact. It can actually add to it. The lovely, young women in this photo essay each have their own unique style and fashion sense.

Some may choose to cover all of their hair, while others may leave their bangs out. Some may go the more traditional route and cover their necks, chests, and shoulders, while others may expose these areas by wrapping their scarves in a turban style.

From floral patterns to solid colors to lace, these hijabis hit the streets of Egypt with confidence and flair. Now, let's get to know a little bit about them!
